Taking care of your nails and cuticles is extremely important as hanging or unhealthy nails/cuticles look so bad. They should be avoided at any cost. Having bad cuticles/nails, makes it difficult to apply nail paints. Even if you manage to apply nail paints with bad nails/cuticles, the nail paint doesn’t look that appealing. Recently I shared the hand creams that I have been using lately. I gave each a 3/5 when it comes to “value for moolah”, Marks and Spencers Cocoa Butter and Vanilla Hand and Nail Cream and Sally Hansen Radiant Hands, Nails & Cuticles Creme.
But now I will be sharing a really amazing recipe that will surely tame your nails and cuticles, not to mention how soft your hands will feel after applying it. It will not cost you much plus the results are amazing. The only hitch is that this recipe is a little greasy so suitable only for applying overnight. But it’s a guarantee that you will wake up with super soft hands, healthy nails and cuticles. So lets start, shall we ladies?
You will require:
Glycerine (2 tbsp), Castor Oil (1/2 tbsp), Almond Oil (1/2 tbsp), Vaseline (1 1/2 tbsp), a container, a spoon (prefer a wooden or plastic spoon). All these ingredients can be found at any pharmacy near your home.
Mix all the ingredients together and keep on mixing with a spoon till you find all the ingredients have mixed properly and you have a smooth paste.
This is how it’s going to look:
Apply this mixture on the hands and rub your hands, then focus on the nails and cuticles. You can also apply this on your feet, focusing on the nails of your feet to have beautiful smooth feet.
Apply it just before sleeping and doze off in your dream land.
The above portions are good for 4-5 times usage. I usually make this much amount at once and keep it in the refrigerator for storage.
There are so many things in the market for hands, feet. Some work, some don’t. But what I have always believed in is that, you can never go wrong with natural home-made stuff. Secret recipes straight from Grandma’s closet are the most beautiful treasures. Don’t you agree my ladies?
